Rockin' Orange And Other Neon Colors

Orange, and other neon colors, are definitely one of the “it” trends this year. They're exciting, palpable colors that are easy to look at and even easier to love, but they can also be a little tricky if you aren't sure how to style them. Check out our little guide below to help get you on your way:

Tips to Wearing Orange:

1. Consider your skin tone.

- If you have olive to dark skin: try darker shades, like mango

- If you have fair skin: go try muted shades, such as a sunset color.

Tips for Rocking The Neon Color Trend:

1. Wear It In Your Accessories:

Neon colors look very tasteful when you add a little touch of these colors in your accessories. Neon scarves, shoes, handbags, and jewelry. It’s a great way to look bright, and alive without overdoing it.

2. Wear It With Neutrals:

Pairing neon with neutral colors is a great step towards moving out of the safety zone. Any neutral color works, though black and white give the biggest impact. If your looking for a bold look without looking too over-done, incorporating one beautiful neon garment piece into your outfit is the way to go.

3. Create a Contrast:

As we mentioned above, pairing black with neon is a sure-fire way to go and will keep you looking classy with a nice twist of 'fun'. Try pairing a neon blue dress with a pair of black heels for a trending look.

4. Rocking Color Blocking:

Pairing bold neon with bold neon is a great way to look trendy, and make a statement. Try pairing a bright beautiful neon yellow shirt with neon blue shorts, and keep the accessories at a minimal.

Fifty Shades Of Red

Red is a fun, exciting color to wear; it's bold, sexy and adds real flavor to even the simplest of outfits. You have tons of options when using this dynamic color, not just in shades but it pieces and how you pair them together: Just throw on some red jeans or leggings, or you can do a sexy red shirt or blouse over a pair of traditional denims. It's as easy as that.

For a look that always works, stick to pairing your reds with neutral colors such as white, black, beige, brown or gray, and definitely avoid pairing multiple bold colors together and ALL-red ensembles or you’ll risk making your outfit look over-crowded, and irritatingly busy. With Red, less is more.

Not bold enough to go red with your clothes? You can always rock the trend in other ways, like wearing red accessories, a hot red bootie, or doing a sexy, bold red lip.

Glitter, Sequin, And Metallic's

Do you dare to be bold? 2012 is all about glitter, sequin, and metallic's; Glamorous trends that you won't want to miss!

Although glitter, sequin, and metallic's are hot trends right now, they'll seldom ever look good paired together so choose carefully. When in doubt, go with neutral colors like black and white or even silver and gold but remember, glitter, sequin, and metallic's are already eye-catching, so you don't want to go over-board with it. You should avoid, at all costs, pairing sequin with sequin, metallic's with metallic's, or glitter with glitter or you'll risking looking like a fashion-don't straight from the 80's.

Balance is key here; If you're doing alot on the bottom, try to go easy on the top half, and vice-versa. Opt for dresses in beautiful tones that you can pair with leggings or pattern tights. Stay away from bright colors that clash together and try to keep the accessories to a minimal. Have fun with it and don't forget to wear it with confidence; there's nothing sexier!
